How to Build Your Own DIY Hydroponics
In this video, I show you a simple way to make your own hydroponic growing system by using a few supplies from Amazon and containers you have laying around your home. In cold, zone 4 or 5 areas, the only way a person can garden all year around is through a heated greenhouse or small home garden. The difficulty of home gardening is complicated by soil-born insects and other bugs that can pester both plants and humans because the warm climate of the home can make the perfect condition for these bugs to flourish that would otherwise be reduced if exposed to the freezing temperatures of outdoor gardening.
It is primarily due to these reasons, that I switched nearly all of my in-home gardens to hydroponics. The water-based grow nutrient rich delivery system along with clay grow medium drastically reduces the surface area that garden pests have to grow and develop. As a result, I saw a marked improvement in the health of my home gardens, over soil-based gardening outside.
